Through the Grameen GSRD Foundation Shikka Scholarship Program, the GSRD Foundation offers school education to underprivileged children in rural Bangladesh. The program provides financial support to poor high school students who show dedication to their studies.

Each year, at least 50 students, comprised of half boys and half girls, are selected to receive a scholarship. Students receive BTD 500 per month until the completion of their high school education.

Grameen Shikkha selects students from different areas in Bangladesh based on family profiles and grade reports. The financial support enables recipients to continue their studies and improve their educational standards, while creating the potential for future employment that will bring themselves and their families out of poverty.
