In cooperation with LAMP, the GSRD Foundation provides vocational training and entrepreneurial development assistance to young people at risk in the area of Bangalore and Chennai, India.

As part of this initiative, LAMP created vocational training centers for street children. Trainees are provided tutorials in computer maintenance and servicing, nursing and home care, electronic instruments, car repairs, driving, and mobile phone servicing in order to become self-dependent. LAMP is organizing Self-Help Groups (SHG) for street youths between the age of 16 and 21. These youth groups receive micro financing to help them set up their own business. With this small loan the trainees are able to create self-sufficiency and earn their own income.
