Terre des Hommes and the GSRD Foundation work together to support vocational training and job placement for young people in Thanh Hoa province in Vietnam. The objective of the program is to organise vocational trainings for young people living in difficult circumstances. During the training, they learn to complete and master a new skill to get a job and earn an income.

A number of young people who fit the program’s criteria are selected and offered a vocational training course based on their interests and skills. The students receive training in competence skills in occupations like sewing, sedge handicraft, embroidery, basketry, electronics, welding, reception and cookery. The trainees are closely monitored and, after graduation, are supported in their job placements.
